This DoD-supported program advanced lightweight vehicle structures for defense and commercial applications. Prototypes demonstrated superior structural performance and fuel efficiency compared to legacy metal components. The technology led TPI Composites to establish a new production facility in Ohio for manufacturing the CCM-designed replacement hood for the Humvee.
