Dr. Suresh Advani, Unidel Pierre S. du Pont Chair of Engineering, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, and a leading figure in the composites community at the UD Center For Composite Materials, has been honored as a World Fellow by the ICCM – International Committee on Composite Materials, one of the highest recognitions in the composites community.
This prestigious designation acknowledges individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the field of composite materials, demonstrated international leadership within ICCM, and advanced the discipline through research, education, and service. World Fellows are also recognized as Life Members of ICCM, reflecting their lasting impact on the global composites community.
Dr. Advani’s transformative work, spanning rheology, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and composite manufacturing, have shaped both academic research and industrial practice. With 400+ journal publications, numerous invited lectures, innovations such as the widely used liquid mold filling simulation software (LIMS) and h index surpassing 100, his influence spans academic research and industrial practice within the composites community.
