Michael Richards, a graduate student in the University of Delaware Electrical and Computer Engineering Department supported through the UD Center For Composite Materials has been selected to receive a $16,000 Koerner Family Foundation Supplemental Student Stipend.
The Koerner Family Foundation awards a limited number of supplemental stipends each year to outstanding graduate students nationwide, recognizing excellence in scholarship, leadership and service, and faculty mentorship. Following a highly competitive review process, Michael was selected based on his strong academic progress, leadership contributions, and the exceptional mentorship provided by his faculty advisors.
Notably, Michael is only the fourth student from the University of Delaware College of Engineering to receive this prestigious award, an achievement that reflects both his individual accomplishments and the strength of UD’s graduate research environment.
